St. Stephens UMC Holding Homecoming Services

St. Stephens United Methodist Church here in Dillon, SC, will celebrate our annual Homecoming Services on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., with our very own pastor, Rev. Allen Nesmith delivering his first Homecoming message at the church.

Our theme is “Growing Stronger and Deeper in the Word of God.”
Rev. Nesmith is a native of Nesmith, South Carolina, the son of the late Ventis and Ella Mae Nesmith. He is a graduate of Battery Park High School, received a B.A. from St. Augustine’s University in Raleigh, NC. He studied at Asbury Seminary in Kentucky, Erskine Seminary in Due West, SC and graduated from Duke Seminary in Durham, NC. Rev. Nesmith has been in the ministry since 2002 with the South Carolina Conference United Methodist Church having served Wesley UMC in Florence, SC, Salem UMC in Pageland, SC, Rock Hill Central Charge in Rock Hill, SC, and presently serving the Dillon Parish (St. Stephens, St. Luke and Beulah UMC churches) in Dillon, SC.
Rev. Nesmith and his lovely wife, Mrs. Diane Cooper Nesmith, are blessed to have two beautiful daughters Shavae and Brayonna and three adorable granddaughters.
Rev. Nesmith believes that “service is the rent we pay to God for living.”
The public is invited to join the St. Stephens UMC Family on August 12, 2018, 11:00 a.m. for our Homecoming Celebration and a fellowship meal immediately following morning worship service.
Our church is located at the corner of First Avenue and West Jackson Street in Dillon.
