Services for Nancy McMillan Stackhouse will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Mrs. Stackhouse, 68, passed away Monday, May 28, 2018 at McLeod Hospice House in Florence.
Born in Hampton, SC, June 6, 1949, she was the daughter of the late James Vernon McMillan and Barbara Harvey McMillan.
She was a graduate of Walterboro High School, and Columbia Commercial College. She retired as a Secretary from Stewart Heights School. She loved shopping for purses and shoes, and loved dancing, especially shagging. She loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and friends and the trips to the beach with them.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, William “Bill” Stackhouse of Hamer; children, Dorie Stackhouse Altman of Myrtle Beach, Bill Stackhouse, IV of Tennessee, and Keri Stackhouse of Dillon; grandchildren, Madison Altman, Harrison Altman, Jameson Altman, Taylor Stackhouse, Megan Stackhouse, and Gavin Stackhouse; brothers, James Vernon McMillan of Alabama, Steve McMillan of Walterboro; sister, Jan M. Bowen (Greg) of Walterboro; sister-in-law, Molly Poole of Fort Mill.
