The Lake View Lady Wild Gators were handed a 2-0 shut-out loss to the Hannah-Pamplico Lady Raiders in Pamplico on Wednesday, May 9, in the Class A lower state varsity softball playoffs.
Hannah-Pamplico connected for 4 hits while Lake View managed 3 hits in the game.
The Raiders placed a run on the scoreboard in the bottom of the third inning and added another run in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Hannah-Pamplico’s Mary Katherine Faulkenberry and Maddy Boyle each garnered a hit and a rbi in 3 at-bats while Mary Smith connected for a hit in 2 at-bats.
The Lady Wild Gators’ Alex Eliott connected for 2 hits in 3 at-bats while Spivey Evans garnered a hit in 3 at-bats.
Each team committed an error in the game.
Riley Calcutt picked up the win. She pitched 7 innings and allowed 3 hits, on runs, walked 1, and struck out 1.
Grace Floyd was charged with the loss. She pitched 6 and 1/3 innings and allowed 4 hits, 1 run that was earned, walked 1, and struck out 1.
