Center of Dillon County. “The who?”
If you ask about us around town, that’s the response you would get from most people. They have driven by the big blue house but have no idea that we are in it. And for those that notice the sign, they have no idea what we do or who we are.
Despite what one might think, The Crisis Pregnancy Center of Dillon County is about more than just babies and bottles or diapers and wipes. Our ministry is about building and maintaining sustainable relationships between parents and their child, family members, friends and co-workers. And most importantly a relationship between our clients and Jesus Christ. Our services are cost free, confidential, and Christ-centered.
Since opening our doors in 2012, we have seen 309 clients, had 110 babies born, had 90 abortion-minded to delivery cases, had 27 salvations, and 6 re-dedications. It is the mission of this ministry to help parents and families move beyond their current circumstances to achieve God’s plan and purpose. The Center provides spiritual, practical and material assistance through instructional classes, one on one or group sessions, and Bible study. Our curriculum includes classes with Gospel centered tracts in the areas of prenatal care and fetal development, parenting infants and toddlers, and life skills.
At the Pregnancy Center, moms and dads learn to be the best person and parent they can be while earning FREE items to help take care of their babies. Clients receive diapers and wipes after each visit and earn credits towards a free “small” item and a free “large” item. Our Earn While You Learn program is tailored to fit the specific needs of each client. They spend up to 16 weeks in our program and walk away with more than just free products, they walk away with tools which allow them to continue to build better lives.
We are more than just a place to learn about pregnancy, we are a safe place for parents of all ages and stages to be educated, encouraged and loved. We pray with each of our clients at the end of each visit and make sure they understand that we are a phone call away for any prayer requests.
Our ministry is completely donor supported by local churches and private citizens just like you. We host and invite you to support three annual fundraisers: The Baby Bottle Campaign, the Annual Golf Tournament, and the Shuler’s BBQ plate sale. All contributions are completely tax deductible and are poured right back into the ministry.
