Mrs. Pearley Mae Bryant, 90, entered into her heavenly home on Saturday, April 28, 2018, surrounded by her precious family at the McLeod Hospice House in Florence.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Monday April 30,2018 at Latta Church of God with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Born in Dillon County, SC, September 4, 1927, he was the son of the late Coy Powers and Lennie Carter Powers. She was a member of the Latta Church of God where she taught children in sunday school, and was the Sunday School Secretary.
She was a homemaker, and a former Sales Clerk at Kenwin’s Dress Shop. She loved baking cakes. Her specialties were chocolate thin layer cakes, and pecan layer cakes. She loved salt water fishing from the pier, and loved flowers. She enjoyed her children and grandchildren. Her grandbabies made her smile.
Survivors include her children, Larry (Linda) Bryant, Jenny Lenn Bryant, and Christopher Tony Bryant, all of Latta; brother, James P. Powers of Temperance Hill; sisters, Virginia King of Georgetown, TX, and Jeanette Welch of Latta; grandchildren, Randall (Angela) Bryant, Zane (Bridget) Bryant, Jeremy Blake Bryant (Chris), Christa Brook Pearson (Cody), and Charles Adam Bryant (Amber); 9 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Bryant was preceded in death by her husband, Walter C. Bryant; her third child, Christopher Bryant; brothers, William, Coy, Willard, and Clyde Powers; and sister, Catherine Ballard.
