Sheriff’s Office Awarded Palmetto Pride Grant

PalmettoPride announces its Community Pride Grant recipients for the 2017-2018 grant cycle. The PalmettoPride Grants program provides funding for litter eradication programs in five categories.
The Community Pride Grant provides funds for organizations and governmental departments to implement litter reduction programs in their communities. Twenty-nine (29) grants were awarded in the amount of $149,695.
Dillon, Dillon County Sheriff Department, $5,000.00
Two additional grants are the PalmettoPride Enforcement Grant which provides funds to law enforcement agencies to purchase equipment needed to document litter and illegal dumping cases and the Keep South Carolina Beautiful Grant which provides funds to implement programs within Keep America Beautiful’s three program areas: litter reduction, waste reduction and beautification. These grants are still being awarded; a release will be prepared at a later date.
