Council Concerns:
Councilman Kitchens wants to enforce the leash law and maybe changing from 2 animals per household. He did have an excellent sketch for a Veterans area to be set up in Lake View. He had gotten the prices for the pavers / bricks and he elaborated on the design he had envisioned.
Councilman Johnson discussed the car show for the Christmas on the Blvd on Dec. 2. He had a few pointers as he has been in a few car shows. Councilman Johnson also wants to look into a new marquis sign for the town.
Councilman Hayes wants to set up a different way, time, date for the Christmas Tree Lighting.
Town Council Barnett said we still have a dog issue in town. She also has been collecting resumes for East Nile Farms industry.
Mayor Elvington says the Christmas tree is up on the Blvd, lights are on it and it was suggested to do the lighting of the Christmas tree the day of the parade December 2nd at 5:30 or 6:00. Mayor Elvington is looking into getting a stage for the MC for COTB. The community center floors need to be cleaned. Much discussion about the Grand Marshall for COTB. It was also brought to the council’s attention that Townsend Jewelry Store would be closing soon after all these years.
With no more business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned.
