Donations Greatly Needed For Toy And Food Drive

Christmas is just around the corner, and while many people are part of the hustle and bustle of buying Christmas gifts, there are many families in Dillon County struggling who without your help may not have the merriest of Christmases.
While some parents are out seeking the latest toy or game for their child, some Dillon County parents are wondering if they will have even one small gift for their child or if their child will have to face the harsh realities of being less fortunate than others.
While some families are out filling their grocery carts for the Christmas feast that is coming up in a few weeks, many struggling families wonder if they will even be able to serve a proper meal, much less a holiday meal, to their families this Christmas.
You can help us ease the struggle of many families in Dillon County by donating to The Dillon Herald and East Dillon Baptist Church’s annual toy and food drive.
Unlike some drives in this area, The Dillon Herald and East Dillon Baptist Church’s toy and food drive benefits residents of Dillon County only, and because we believe in supporting our local businesses, all money donated to the drive is spent in Dillon County only.
New, unwrapped toys and canned/non-perishable goods with a current date may be dropped off at The Dillon Herald newspaper office at 505 Highway 301 North (beside Bojangle’s) from Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
WE CANNOT ACCEPT USED OR GENTLY USED TOYS OR EXPIRED FOOD ITEMS.
Items will be accepted until Wednesday, December 20th at 12:00 noon.
Monetary donations will be accepted through 12:00 noon on Tuesday, December 19th.
Your generous support is needed to make this once again a successful drive and to help the less fortunate in Dillon County have a merry Christmas. All we ask is that you do what you can to help some of Dillon County’s less fortunate families.
