DCS Warriors Get Victory Over Christian Academy

The Dillon Christian School Warriors returned from Myrtle Beach with a 40-17 victory over Christian Academy in varsity football action on Friday, October 13.
The Warriors’ Diaz Alexander rushed for 72 yards on 9 carries and completed 9 of 12 passes for 102 yards.
Dillon Christian School’s Demontez Alford rushed 16 times for 159 yards while Jackson Wolfe grabbed 4 passes for 39 yards and John Rourke was on the receiving end of 4 passes for 56 yards.
Storm Sanderson had 9 solo tackles to lead the Dillon Christian School. Christian Academy put the first points of the game on the scoreboard in the first quarter on a 23-yard field goal by John Sessions. Dillon Christian School answered with a 60-yard kickoff return by Jackson Wolfe. Wolfe’s PAT was good.
Diaz Alexander rushed for 2 touchdowns in the second quarter. The first one was a 14-yard run with 7:30 remaining. The PAT was good by Christian Wolfe. The second one was a 26-yard run with 3:05 remaining in the first half. Once again, Wolfe’s PAT was good. At halftime Dillon Christian School led 21-3. The third quarter was productive for the Warriors as they put up 19 points on the scoreboard beginning with 10:01 remaining in the third quarter Diaz Alexander teamed up with Jackson Wolfe for a 16-yard pass touchdown. The PAT was no good.
With 8:02 remaining in the third quarter Alexander connected with John Rourke for a 21-yard scoring pass. The PAT was good by Wolfe.
Alexander again teamed with Jackson Wolfe for a 9-yard touchdown pass with 2:03 remaining in the third quarter. Wolfe’s PAT failed. Christian Academy scored 14 points in the fourth quarter with the first score on a 5-yard run by Braden McCauley with 9:25 remaining in the game. Sessions’ PAT was good.
The final score of the game came off a 16-yard pass from Braden McCauley to Binny Pelingreno. Sessions’ PAT was good. The Warriors are undefeated in SCISA 1-A play and are 6-2 for the season and 5-0 in Region 1-A.
Dillon Christian School will travel to Carolina Academy on Friday, October 20, at 7:30 p.m.
