ATEC Student Passes All Ten Automotive Tests

Luis Delaluz has been a student in the Automotive Program at the Dillon County Technology Center beginning in the tenth grade. With hard work and dedication, his accomplishments have been competing in the All Star Competition in Columbia, S.C., Skills U.S.A. in Greenville, S.C., he has become an AYES (Automotive Youth Excellence Service Student), and has completed the automotive program at the ATEC Center.
Luis had the opportunity to take his ASE student certification and passed all ten areas consecutively which included: Brakes, Electrical/Electronics, Engine Performance, Suspension/Steering, Engine Repair, Automatic Transmission/Transaxle, Manual Drive Train & Axle, Heating and Air Conditioning, Automatic Service Technology, and Maintenance and Light Repair. Luis is the only student in South Carolina to take and pass all ten areas consecutively without missing one test. Luis has interned at Five Star Chevrolet in Florence, S.C. and has received the SCADA Scholarship and is enrolled in the GM ASAP Program at Greenville Technical College in Greenville, South Carolina. Luis is an example of what students can achieve here at the Center. The Dillon County Technology Center has a lot to offer students who will take advantage of these courses and hands-on training.
