Roberts Named Dillon District Three Teacher Of The Year

Erika Roberts was recently selected as Teacher of the Year for Dillon School District Three for 2017-2018.
She was one of three school level Teachers of the Year vying for the position of District Teacher of the Year.
This year’s school representatives are as follows: Latta High School – Erika Roberts; Latta Middle School – April Harrison; Latta Elementary School – Deidra Jones.

Erika Roberts is a native of Conway and resides in Marion. In May of 1999, Mrs. Roberts was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Both degrees are from Wofford College.
In 2002 she received a Master’s Degree in Secondary Science Education from The Citadel.
Mrs. Roberts began her teaching career in Charleston, SC in 1999 and began her career as a Biology teacher at Latta High School in the fall on 2015.

Being selected as District Teacher of the Year qualifies Mrs. Roberts as a participant in the selection of South Carolina Teacher of the Year.
The South Carolina Teacher of the Year Program is coordinated via the Division of Educator Quality & Leadership and is designed to honor those who are representative of the state’s many exceptional teachers.
