Main Street UMC Gets New Pastor

Main Street United Methodist Church is pleased to announce the arrival of their new pastor, the Reverend Henry A. Altman and his wife, Lori, and children, Jacob and Emma.
Henry is originally from Hemingway, South Carolina, where his parents still reside. The middle child of five boys, he fought “the call” for many years until he graduated from Francis Marion in 1995. After completing his Master of Divinity at Duke in 1999, Henry has served the Lord in six charges in SC – Trio Charge, Pamplico Charge, Pisgah/Aynor, Bethlehem, Bishopville and First UMC in Marion before being placed at Main Street here in Dillon.
Henry married Lori Barnes of Lincolnton, North Carolina, and they have two children; Jacob, 15, who is well-versed in the ways of computers and Emma, 14, whose artistic talents are very impressive. There is also the family dog, Luke, who is looking forward to meeting everyone in the neighborhood. The family enjoys bicycling, gardening, people and nature.
Reverend Altman is looking forward to helping the members of Main Street, and the Dillon community, pursue their ministries towards furthering God’s Kingdom. He and his family are happy to be calling Dillon “home” and to see what the future at Main Street United Methodist Church will bring.
Come worship with The Altmans and all the members of Main Street United Methodist Church on Sunday mornings at 11 o’clock.
