Lake View Picks Up Win Over Pamplico

Lake View picked up a 12-8 win over Pamplico on Wednesday, June 28, in Lake View in Junior American Legion baseball.
Lake View’s Jake Lane pitched 5 and 1/3 innings to get the win. He allowed 8 hits, 7 earned runs, walked 4, and struck out 8.
Mason Hicks pitched 3 innings and allowed 5 hits, 7 runs of which 3 were earned, walked 4, and struck out 2 and was tagged with the loss.
Each team committed 3 errors in the game.
Lake View placed 3 runs on the scoreboard in the bottom of the first inning to take an early lead. Pamplico scored 2 runs in the top of the second inning. Lake View added another run in the bottom of the second. Pamplico added 2 runs in the top of the third to knot the score at 4. Lake View was able to add a run in the run in the bottom of the third. Lake View added 3 runs in the bottom of the fourth inning and again in the bottom of the fifth inning. Pamplico placed 4 runs on the scoreboard in the top of the sixth inning. Lake View tacked on another run in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Each team connected for 10 hits.
Hunter Herlong was perfect at the plate going 2 for 2 with 2 rbi for Lake View while Jordan King had 3 hits and a rbi in 4 at-bats. Payton Jackson connected for a rbi and 2 hits in 4 at-bats.
Josh Rogers was perfect at the plate with a double, 2 singles, and a rbi while Evan Bazen garnered a hit and 2 rbi for Pamplico. Ethan Locklear connected for a double in 3 at-bats. Aiden Singletary doubled in his 3 at-bats.
