Wilson Deals Dillon Junior Legion 3-2 Blow At Home

The Wilson Junior American Legion baseball team dealt Dillon a 3-2 blow in Dillon on Wednesday, June 14.
Dillon’s Daniel Chestnut retired the first two batters he faced before Wilson’s #6 punched one in over short to left for a single. #11 hit one up the middle for a single. #13 hit one between left and center for easy single and rbi before being thrown out attempting to get a double.
Dillon’s #18 made a great catch in centerfield for the third out in the top of the second inning.
Wilson added another run in the top of the fourth and sixth innings.
Dillon picked up a run in the bottom of the fifth and seventh innings.
Wilson’s Gabe Ellis picked up the win going 6 innings. He allowed 4 hits, 2 earned runs, walked 2, and struck out 6. Ethan Strickland picked up a save pitching one-third of an inning. He allowed 0 hits, 0 runs, walked no one, and struck out 1.
Dillon’s Daniel Chestnut was tabbed with the loss. He pitched 4 and 1/3 innings and allowed 0 hits, 1 earned run, walked no one, and struck out 2. Wilson committed one error, and Dillon committed 2 errors in the game.
Gabe Ellis led Wilson with 3 hits in 3 at-bats while Wyatt Hicks connected for a double, 2 sac flies, and 3 rbi in his 3 trips to the plate. Harrison Brigman garnered 2 hits in 3 at-bats for Wilson.
Collin Hamilton led Dillon with a double in 3 at-bats.
