Services for Imogene Lane Moore will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Dillon Congregational Holiness Church with burial in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation was held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at Cooper Funeral Home.
Mrs. Moore, 73, died Saturday, June 10, 2017 at her residence.
Born in Dillon County, SC, March 1, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Rufus Lane and Lillie Hulon Lane. She was a member of Dillon Congregational Holiness Church, and she retired from Dillon School District in 1997. Mrs. Imogene was a wonderful, loving, and caring wife and mother. She was a very dedicated christian and always put God first in everything that she did. She was loved by so many, and will truly be missed. We know that God has got a precious angel now.
Survivors include her children, Junior (Hidi) Moore of Myrtle Beach, Dottie Graves, Vicky Fowler (Robert Carter), and Roy (Terri) Moore, all of Dillon; grandchildren, Jacque Barr (John), Doug Graves (Josh), Shannon Jacobs (Philip), Crystal Ellison (Creighton), Adrianne Villagomez (Abi), Nikki Graves (Brandon), and Buffy Moore (Jordan); great-grandchildren, Makayla, Cameron, Caden and Maycie Ellison, Ansley, Addison, and Alijah Villagomez, Parker Cook, Landyn Martin, Lillian, Timothy, and Zachary Jacobs and Amelia Mosley; brother, Rufus Leroy Lane of Dillon; sister, Nancy Hodges of Dillon; special caretaker, Creighton Ellison; special friends, Pat Hayes, Minnie Allen, Emma Jean Moore, and Sprout Villagomez.
Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas “Buddy” Moore; mothers, Margie Lane and Lillie Hulon Lane; son-in-law, Ricky Graves; brothers, Houston Lane, and Robert Lane; and sisters, Maggie McDowell, and Aleen Herring.
