Peggy Edwards Ivey, 80, of Fork, South Carolina, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 after a brief illness.
Peggy, the youngest child of Zachariah and Ethel Stubbs Edwards, was born on December 11, 1936. Peggy worked as a commercial seamstress and homemaker. She was married to Dewey R. Ivey. Peggy always enjoyed playing her guitar and singing country and gospel music. She also enjoyed her dogs, especially her beloved Boston Terrier named Susie.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey, and sister Irene E. Rogers, both of Lake View, and brother Jack Edwards of Orlando, Florida.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Carolyn Edwards, nephews Paul Rogers, Michael Rogers (Faye), Mitchell “Mickey” Rogers, and Erney Edwards (Ann).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Lake View, SC.
A graveside service will be directed by Cooke Funeral Home at Riverside Cemetery in Dillon, SC on Friday, June 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.
