Dillon Junior Legion Falls To Pamplico

The Pamplico Raiders returned home Thursday, June 1, with a 10-5 victory over Dillon in Junior Legion baseball play in Dillon.
Garrett Tanner picked up the win while striking out 2 batters in 3 innings.
Aiden Singletary connected for 2 hits and 3 rbi in 2 at-bats and also picked up a save striking out 2 while pitching 3 and 2/3 innings.
Dillon utilized 5 pitchers in the loss.
The Raiders led 3-0 after 3 innings and added 3 runs in the top of the fourth inning. Dillon put 4 on the scoreboard in the bottom of the fourth inning to cut the lead to 6-4. Pamplico added another run in the top of the fifth inning, and Dillon also scored a run in the bottom of the fifth inning. Neither team could score in the sixth inning. However, in the final inning Pamplico added 3 more runs.
Mason Hicks picked up 3 rbi in his 2 hits in 3 at-bats while Lucas Cooper garnered 2 rbi on 2 hits in 3 at-bats for the Raiders. Dillon’s Barnes Causey connected for a double, a single, and 3 rbi in his 3 at-bats while Jackson Hayes connected for a homer, a double, and 1 rbi in his 3 at-bats. BoBo McKinnon garnered a single, scored a run, and stole a base in his 2 at-bats. Chase Dudney connected for a hit and scored a run in his 3 at-bats. Dillon faced Marlboro County on Friday, June 2, and Lake View on Monday, June 5.
Dillon will host Latta at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7.
