Lake View Gets 15-0 Win Over Hemingway Tigers

The Lake View Wild Gators calmed the Hemingway Tigers in a 15-run, 3-inning game 15-0 and returned home to Lake View after the varsity baseball game played in Hemingway on Tuesday, April 11.
Duane Nichols silenced the bats of Hemingway as he pitched 2 innings and allowed no hits, no runs, walked 2, and struck out 3.
Hemingway’s Mitril Platt pitched 1 and 1/3 innings and allowed 9 hits, 15 runs of which only 3 were earned, walked 5, and struck out 1 as he was tagged with the loss.
Lake View committed no errors in the game while Hemingway was guilty of 5 costly mistakes.
The Lake View Wild Gators jumped off to a 9-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning and added 6 more runs in the bottom of the second inning.
Brent Herlong and Nick Collins each was perfect at the plate with a double and 2 rbi in 1 at-bat. Hunter Stevens also was perfect at the plate garnering 1 hit and 2 rbi in 1 at-bat for Lake View.
Lake View is 12-2 for the season.
Lake View will host Hannah Pamplico today (Thursday, April 13).
