The Latta Lady Vikings traveled to Kingstree on Tuesday, April 4, and returned home with a 16-1 and a 14-0 win.
In game one, Hannah Jackson pitched 4 innings and allowed one hit, no runs, walked no one and struck out 4.
Kaleigh Caulder was perfect at the plate with 3 hits and 2 rbi in 3 at-bats for the Vikings. Kyra Grant was also perfect at the plate with 2 hits and 3 rbi in 2 at-bats.
In game two, Latta’s Arica Gandy struck out 8 of the 9 batters she faced in the 3-inning game. Gandy did not allow a hit nor did she walk anyone.
Riana Green was perfect at the plate for Latta with 3 hits and 2 rbi in 3 at-bats while Kaleigh Caulder connected for 2 hits and 5 rbi in 3 at-bats.
Latta will host Carvers Bay on Friday, April 7, at 6:00 p.m.
