Dillon Wildcats Lose A Close One

The Dillon Wildcats lost a close one 6-4 to Lake City on Friday, April 7, in a varsity baseball game played in Dillon.
Chris Burnett tossed the 6.2-innings of the game for Lake City to pick up the win. He allowed 5 hits, 4 earned runs, walked 3, and struck out 2.
The Wildcats’ Andrew Rowell was tagged with the loss. He pitched 3.2 innings and allowed 5 hits, 5 runs of which 4 were earned, walked 2, and struck out 4.
Lake City did not commit any errors in the game while Dillon was guilty of 3.
Chris Burnett connected for 1 hit in 2 at-bats for Lake City while Molik Brown garnered a double in 4 at-bats. Bill Hanna also had a hit in 3 at-bats.
Jon-Mitchell Carter connected for 2 hits in 4 at-bats while Ty’Quan Rogers garnered a hit and 2 rib in 3 at-bats for the ‘Cats.
Dillon is 6-10 for the season.
The Dillon Wildcats will travel to Georgetown on Wednesday, April 12.
