Spelling Bee Winner – Shawanda Jacobs, a 4th grader at Gordon Elementary School, was the 3rd place winner in the Pee Dee Baptist Association spelling bee Saturday, February 25th at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Marion. She joined other champion spellers from Pee Dee area churches in this competition. Shawanda is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph and Sharonda Jacobs.
