Lake View Wild Gators veteran baseball coach, Kip Herlong with 24 years as head coach, will be fielding a young team this year after losing seven players from last year.
Although Lake View possesses some experience at shortstop and the outfield, the other positions will have to be filled with inexperienced players. Of course, some new players such as Tyler Davis, Webb Cardwell, Delvon Bethea, Duane Nichols, Jordan King, and Darius Ford are all upper classmen who may see start time.
Lake View has always had a winning tradition although this year Lake View needs to fill some key positions such as pitching, catching, and the infield.
Coach Herlong has always instilled a strong work effort and strives for improvement in his players each day.
Not only will Lake View have new opponents this year such as East Clarendon and Hannah-Pamplico but also the team will be facing foes like Green Sea Floyds.
