East Kicks Off 4-H Cloverbud Club

The 4-H East Elementary Cloverbud Club kicked off on Thursday, September 22nd.  Led by the school district’s teacher of the year, Candace Bohachic, the club had a great first club meeting.  They started off by saying the United States Pledge of Allegiance, followed by the 4-H pledge.  The club leader then walked them through the club activity, a “get to know you” activity.  For this activity, the 4-Hers paired up, interviewed each other, measured each other’s height, then introduced their partner to the other club members.  This activity not only gave the 4-Hers a chance to meet each other, but it helped practice multiple types of communication skills. The next 4-H East Elementary Cloverbud Club meeting will be October 25th from 3:30 to 4:30pm.  The club is also looking for a teen volunteer to assist the club leader.  Members may be students from any school in Dillon County ages 5-8 years old.  To join the club, please complete the membership application and contact the Club Leader, Mrs. Candace Bohachic at 843-774-1222 or bohachicc@dillon.k12.sc.us.   To start your own 4-H Cloverbud Club, other 4-H club, or for more information please contact Erika Owens, the 4-H agent at 843-774-8218 or erikao@clemson.edu.  Stay up to date by following the Clemson Extension 4-H Dillon County Facebook Page.
