The Lake View Lady Wild Gators defeated the Latta Lady Vikings 25-16, 20-25, 25-21, 20-25, and 15-10 in varsity volleyball action in Latta on Monday, September 12.
The Gators’ Logan Spivey had 12 kills, 10 digs, and 4 assists in the victory while Shakyra Parker had 28 kills, 6 digs, and 4 aces. Madison Greene added 37 assists and 2 kills for Lake View.
Tankasia Wheeler had 4 aces, 8 digs, and 9 kills for the Lady Wild Gators while Jasmine Ford had 5 aces, 2 kills and 13 digs.
Lake View’s Sarah Evans added 8 digs, and Danica Arch contributed 10 digs in the victory.
Latta’s Genesis Anderson had 1 block, 6 aces, and 8 assists. Brandy Williams had 6 digs for the Vikings. Brooke Carter had 8 kills.
Lake View sports a 2-0 record in Region 6-A and an overall record of 5-3 while Latta is 4-0 in Region 7-2A and 4-2 overall.
The Lake View Lady Wild Gators hosted Hemingway at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 13 while the Latta Lady Vikings traveled to Carvers Bay and played at 6:30 p.m.
