Dillon County Health Initiative Offering Free Vegetable Plants And Seeds

The Dillon County Health Initiative (DCHI), a division of Rural Area Leadership Initiative – Dillon County (RALI-DC), is prepared to address the health issues in Dillon County head on.
This fall, community members of all walks of life can plant and grow their own vegetables at no cost.
DCHI will provide individuals with seeds and plants to produce fresh vegetables.
These plants and seeds will be available on first come, first serve basis beginning August 31 at the Clemson Extension office.

RALI-DC has been active in helping the local community for the past eight years and hopes to increase health consciousness with this project. Community coordinators will be contacting organizations within the community to provide information regarding project details and ways to get involved with the forthcoming expo, nutrition training and double-dutch competition.
