Vehicle In Carjacking Found Burned In North Carolina

Dillon Police Chief David Lane states that the vehicle from the carjacking in Dillon has been located in Cumberland County, NC. It had been burned.  The Dillon Police Department is still continuing to follow up on all leads.
The vehicle is associated with the carjacking of a woman early Sunday morning in the Waffle House parking lot on Radford Boulevard in Dillon.

A woman was carjacked early Sunday morning at the Waffle House parking lot on Radford Boulevard in Dillon.
The incident occurred around 5:45 a.m. According to a report by Sgt. Michael Yoder and Cpl. Lorie Tyler of the City of Dillon Police Department, when they arrived they found the woman on the ground bleeding from her head.
The report says that the victim stated that she had pulled up to go to work when a black male came up to the driver’s side door and demanded that she get out of the car. She refused to get out and the suspect hit her above the left eye with a pistol cutting her severely.
The suspect pulled the woman out of the vehicle, and then he got in and left with it.  Witnesses said he headed toward the interstate with the vehicle.
