American Legion Auxiliary Honors 2015 Girls State Delegates

The Dillon American Legion Auxiliary Unit 32 honored the 2015 Palmetto Girls States delegates on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at the American Legion Post 32.  
The girls who attended were:  Kerria Pernell, Dillon High School; Mary Ann McGaha, Dillon High School; and Katelyn Tallon, Dillon Christian School.  
The delegates reported their activities while attending Palmetto Girls State at Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC, during the week of June 7-13, 2015.  
The ladies were joined by their parents Teresa Pernell, Bernice McGaha, and Connie and Robert Tallon.  
While at Girls State, Kerria was elected as Secretary of State, elected to the House of Representatives, and served as City Manager.  Mary Ann was elected as Emergency Preparedness Officer of her city.  Katelyn Tallon served as a City Council Member and was also elected to the House of Representatives.
Each delegate expressed gratitude to be chosen to represent their schools and enjoyed sharing their positive experiences after a meal and dessert was served to all in attendance.
