The Lake View Wild Gators defeated Bamberg-Ehrhardt 10-0 in varsity baseball Class A District V playoffs on Saturday, April 30, in Bamberg.
Carson Rogers pitched a no-hitter in a complete game, struck out 8, and walked 3.
Noah Sweatman was credited with the loss.
Lake View committed 1 error, and Bamberg-Ehrhardt committed 3 in the game.
The Wild Gators scored first managing a run in the top of the first inning but the Gators did not score again until the top of the fourth inning when they picked up 3 runs. Lake View picked up 3 more runs in the top of the fifth, 1 in the top of the sixth, and 2 in the top of the seventh.
The Lake View Wild Gators managed 15 hits led by Josh Price who was 4-for-4 with 3 rbi. Brent Herlong managed 3 hits and 3 rbi in 4 at-bats while De’Ante Bridgett garnered 2 hits and 1 rbi in 4 trips to the plate.
Lake View is now 17-7 for the season.
