Wildcats Defeat Silver Bluff

The Dillon Wildcats varsity baseball team defeated Silver Bluff 16-3 on Saturday, April 30, in Aiken in the Class 2A District VII playoffs.
Billy McGirt picked up the win as he pitched 3 innings, allowed 3 hits, 2 runs of which both were earned, walked 3, and struck out 4.
Alex Frazier was credited with the loss for Silver Bluff.
Dillon committed zero errors while Silver Bluff committed 2.
Silver Bluff connected for 5 hits in the game; Dillon connected for 11.
The Dillon Wildcats picked up 2 runs in the first inning, scored 3 in the second, 4 in the fourth, 1 in the fifth, and 6 in the sixth inning.
Kaleb Page hit a 3-run homer, and Ladarious Wilson went 3-for-3 with 4 rbi for the Dillon Wildcats.
The Wildcats’ Andrew Rowell garnered 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 4 rbi. Jon-Mitchell Carter also got 1 hit and 2 rbi for Dillon.
Dillon played in Johnsonville on Monday, May 2, in the playoffs for Class 2A District VII.
