Latta’s Lady Vikings defeated Lake View’s Lady Wild Gators 6-1 on Wednesday night in Latta in varsity softball action.
Dori Webster got the win on the mound for the Vikings, pitching a complete game for two hits, one run, and two walks, striking out five. Marissa Tyndall took the loss for the Gators, pitching all six innings for 12 hits, six runs, three earned runs, and one walk, striking out seven.
At bat for the Vikings, Sawyer went 3-for-4 with three doubles, one RBI, and two runs; Grant went 2-for-3 with one run; Owens went 2-for-3 with one RBI; Caulder went 2-for-4 with one run; Anderson went 1-for-3 with a triple, one RBI, and one run; Hopkins was 1-for-3 with one run; and Webster went 1-for-4. The Lady Vikings had 12 hits and three errors in the win.
For Lake View, Logan Spivey went 1-for-3; Greene went 1-for-3; and Tyndall scored one run.
