Woman Charged With Felony DUI

A woman has been charged in a July 6th wreck that killed one person and injured a Dillon City Police Officer.

Jenni Hunt has been charged with Felony DUI  (Driving Under the Influence)  in the case, according to Corporal Sonny Collins of the S.C. Highway Patrol.
A $200,000 surety bond was set, according to the Dillon County Detention Center.
At the time of the wreck, Sgt. Bob Beres of the S.C. Highway Patrol said the collision that occurred on July 6th on S.C. Highway 9 near Harllee’s Bridge Road in Little Rock at about 2:21 a.m.
The collision involved two vehicles—a 2011 Mitsubishi and a 2010 Crown Victoria City of Dillon police car.
The Mitsubishi was traveling south on Highway 9, and the Crown Victoria was traveling north on Highway 9 when the collision occurred. The police car caught on fire. One of the passengers in the Mitsubishi died. Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley identified the deceased as Bobbie Lynn Britt, age 29, of Pembroke, North Carolina. Dillon City Police Officer Jacob Richardson was seriously injured and still continues his recovery.
