Long Named Director of Pharmacy At Hospital

McLeod Medical Center Dillon is pleased to announce that Jason Long, PharmD, has been named Director of Pharmacy.

Jason has a Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree from Albany College of Pharmacy, Albany, NY.
Jason chose a career as a pharmacist after having taught chemistry in Pennsylvania. There were many valuable skills learned during that time he now uses in his profession.
Jason chose the pharmacy profession because he wanted a challenging and dynamic profession that would allow him to serve others in a meaningful way.
“As medication experts,” said Jason, “pharmacists play an important role in assisting other members of the healthcare team with the goal of producing the best outcomes for the patients in their care.”
In his new role, Jason will be responsible for the overall management and day-to-day operation of the Pharmacy Department.
“I chose McLeod Dillon because it is a special place,” said Jason.  “The staff is caring, professional, and excels in providing excellent patient care.  This was evident as I met many of them during my time interviewing there. I saw how seriously and carefully they took their work.”
“I look forward to working in the Dillon community.”  Jason realized the warm, friendly welcome he received on his very first visit to the area.  “The people of the area are genuinely kind and the pride that they have for their town is evident in many ways,” said Jason.
Jason and his wife Melissa will be relocating from Pennsylvania, where he worked for Pinnacle Health.  “We are expecting our first child this fall,” said Jason.  “It is an exciting time for both of us, and we’re looking forward to all that this new adventure will bring to our lives.”
Jason enjoys outdoor sports, woodworking, and fishing.
