One Person Killed In Wreck In Little Rock

One person is dead after a wreck on Hwy. 9 in Little Rock early Sunday morning.  The crash involved a Dillon City Police car (a Ford Crown Victoria) and a Mitsubishi. A passenger in the Mitsubishi died. Others in the car were taken to the hospital.

The Dillon Police car caught on fire. The police officer was also injured. The S.C. Highway Patrol MAIT team is investigating. Further details were not available.

One person is dead after a collision that occurred on July 6th in the Little Rock area, according to Sgt. Bob Beres of the S.C. Highway Patrol.
Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley identifies the deceased as Bobbie Lynn Britt, age 29, of Pembroke, North Carolina.
The collision occurred on S.C. Highway 9 near Harllee’s Bridge Road in Little Rock at about 2:21 a.m.
The collision involved two vehicles—a 2011 Mitsubishi and a 2010 Crown Victoria City of Dillon police car.
The Mitsubishi was traveling south on Highway 9, and the Crown Victoria was traveling north on Highway 9 when the collision occurred.
The Crown Victoria caught on fire.
The 22-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was taken to McLeod Dillon. A passenger was taken to McLeod-Dillon. Two passengers were taken to McLeod-Florence. One passenger was deceased.
The driver of the Crown Victoria, Dillon City Police Officer Jacob Richardson, who was wearing a seatbelt, was taken to McLeod-Florence.
The collision is under investigation by the S.C. Highway Patrol and the S.C. Highway Patrol Multidisciplinary Action Investigation Team (MAIT).
