Dillon Shooters End Season with First Place Finishes at State Shooting Match

Tangie McFee won first place in the Ladies JV division in all three events of the 4-H shotgun shooting championship.

Tangie McFee of the Dillon County 4-H Shooting Sports Club swept all three championship events in the Ladies JV Division of the 4-H shotgun competitions.

On Saturday, June 14, McFee won the Ladies JV Skeet and Trap events hosted at Mid Carolina Gun Club in Orangeburg, SC. She had already won the Sporting Clays event which was held a few weeks before at Rocky Knoll sporting clays in Abbeville, SC.

JV 1st year 4-H State Skeet and Trap Champion Squad of Justin Herring, Zack Arrington, and Riley Coleman. Arrington was also HOA of the division and Herring came in second Place overall. (Photos submitted.)

Zack Arrington was the High Overall Champion (HOA) in the JV first year division of the skeet and trap events and his teammate Justin Herring came in Runner Up HOA. Their squad, which also included Riley Coleman, was the first place winner in the JV first year division.

The Dillon County 4-H club had 14 shooters to attend the State 4-H Championship skeet and trap finals.
