Herald Office Defeats Latta In Coach Pitch Tournament Championship

The Dillon Invitational Coach Pitch tournament was held on Saturday, May 24, with Herald Office Systems claiming the championship title.

City of Dillon Recreation Director Kevin Scott managed the 17-game double elimination tournament, which included teams from Dillon, Latta, and Lake View.

In the first rounds, GBI, Inc., defeated Family Sports; Latta defeated the Sheriff’s Posse; Herald Office Systems defeated Lake View Towing; and Dillon Internal Medicine defeated Dillon Electric. Latta earned a win over B&C Steak and Bar-b-que, and Family Sports defeated the Sheriff’s Posse with Lake View Towing defeating Dillon Electric.

Herald Office System’s #5 Bryce Patterson hits one down the third base line to pick up two runs.

Herald Office defeated Dillon Internal Medicine to advance, and the Sheriff’s Posse defeated Family Sports. Lake View Towing eliminated B&C; Latta defeated GBI; and Lake View Towing defeated GBI.

Latta handed Herald Office their first loss of the season, 11-9, but Herald Office defeated Lake View Towing and Latta defeated Dillon Internal to send both teams to the championship game.

Herald Office defeated Latta in the first championship game, forcing a second where HOS earned the championship title.
