Dillon’s Lady Wildcats defeated Aynor 10-5 on Friday night to earn their fourth straight region title in Region 8-2A.
Shaquailla German earned the win on the mound, pitching seven innings for three earned runs, nine hits, three walks, and four outs. Aynor’s Brooke Elliott took the loss, pitching six innings for nine earned runs, 16 hits, two walks, and four outs.
German also led at bat with two home runs and six RBI. Shayna Covington went 4-for-4 with three runs scored, and Rebecca Callahan went 3-for-4 for Dillon.
The Lady Wildcats were scheduled to wrap up the regular season tonight at Carolina Forest at 6:00 p.m. before opening the playoffs on Thursday night.
