Lady Gators Shut Down Raiders 15-0

Lake View’s Lady Gators defeated Hannah-Pamplico 15-0 in four innings on Tuesday night to set up a region battle with Latta’s Lady Vikings on Friday night for second place in Region 8-A.

The Lady Gators scored seven runs in the first inning on Tuesday night and picked up three in the second and two in the third before capping the win with three in the fourth.

Marissa Tyndall earned the win on the mound, pitching all four innings for four hits, one walk, and four outs. Hannah-Pamplico’s Logan Jordan took the loss, pitching one innings for six hits, seven runs, five earned runs, and a walk.

Ashley Rogers went 2-for-3 with two home runs and five RBI to lead the Lady Gators at bat. Marissa Tyndall went 2-for-3 with one RBI; Madison Matthews went 2-for-3; and Madison Green went 2-for-3.

Lake View improved to 12-5 overall and 4-3 in Region 8-A, while Latta is currently in second place with a 10-3 overall record and a 5-2 record in the region. Lake View can claim the second place spot with a win over Latta. Johnsonville has already claimed the top spot, and Green Sea-Floyds will likely finish fourth.

Lake View will be at Latta this Friday night at 5:30 p.m. to wrap up region play, so make plans to attend to support our local teams! The Lady Gators will wrap up the regular season at home against Mullins on Monday night at 6:00 p.m.
