The 8u Diamond Backs won the 2014 Top Gun Spring National Championships in Concord, North Carolina, on Saturday, April 12, and Sunday, April 13.
On Saturday, the Diamond Backs went undefeated, winning 12-2, 17-1, and 10-0, respectively.
On Sunday, the Diamond Backs split with the Lady Tigers of Mt. Pleasant, NC, winning 4-2 and losing 6-2, to force a shootout for the championship. The Diamond Backs prevailed 2-1 in the shootout to claim their fourth championship of the year.
In five games and a shootout, the Diamond Backs outscored their opponents 47-12.
