The senior squad consisting of Jim Carr, Cole Anders, and Samuel Coleman, won the state championship in skeet, defeating a team from Mid Carolina by one target. The Senior Division is made of 12th and 11th graders but Coleman and Anders were moved up to this division for the competition.

The team had two squads competing in the intermediate division which is composed of 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. The squad of Eli Long, Tangie McFee, and Rich McFee took second place in skeet. Rich was moved up from the Rookie division to complete this squad. The squad with Justin Herring, Zack Arrington, and Cole Gasque won second place in Trap. Gasque was moved up from the rookie division to complete this squad.

The Rookie squad of Jacob Edwards, Riley Coleman, and Boone Campbell won second place in both the skeet and trap events. Boone Campbell tied for HOA in the trap event and won first place in a shoot off tie breaker.

The club will compete in four more events this season. The Club’s next practice will be hosted by the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources at their new shooting range in Marion County located at the Marsh WMA. Shells for this practice will be provided by a grant from Friends of the NRA.
