The Latta High School Lady Vikings basketball team defeated St. Joseph’s on Saturday, March 8th to bring home the Class 1A state title. Latta scored 13 points in the first period to St. Joseph’s 9 points. Then during the second period, Latta scored 21 more points bringing the score to 34 to 19. In the third period, St. Joseph’s added 15 more points bringing their points to 34, but Latta added 17 points to make it 51-34. In the fourth period, Latta added another 14 points to St. Joseph’s 5 points bringing the final score to 65-39.
