McLaurin, Minter Speak at Dillon Christian Dinner

Duncan McLaurin and Mike Minter spoke at the Dillon Christian Annual Steak Dinner on Monday, February 24.

McLaurin introduced Minter and talked about his career with the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Carolina Panthers. McLaurin spoke about Minter’s success at Nebraska by referencing the two National Championship teams of which he was a member. He also talked about Minter’s 10-year career with the Carolina Panthers. McLaurin mentioned Minter recorded 18 tackles in the Super Bowl.

Mike Minter then spoke about his journey with the game of football and his personal faith. He encouraged the young people in the audience to not let their fears get in the way of their dreams. He spoke about how God had used certain people in his life like Tom Osborne, former Nebraska Head Coach and hall of famer, to influence him in a positive way. Finally, Minter talked about the importance of believing in something bigger than yourself.

Coach Minter was a big success and everyone really enjoyed his speech.
