On Saturday, November 2, 2013, fourteen beautiful, talented, and intelligent young ladies competed for the title of Miss Dillon High School. This year’s theme was “One Enchanted Evening”. This event was sponsored by the DHS Guidance Department, and was coordinated by Ms. Cathy Smith, Guidance Counselor. The event took place at the Dillon High School Gymnasium. Our emcee for this event was Mr. Kevin Thomas, Owner of House of Thomas. The contestants were judged in three categories: Individual Interviews, Talent Presentations, and Evening Wear. Each girl performed exquisitely with the hopes of being selected Miss DHS by the judges. After the completion of all categories, the top six semi-finalist were selected: Taylor Brown; Taylor Cribbs, Taylor Page, Lynsey Branham, Jamesa Bethea, and Linzy Boatwright. After the final onstage random questionnaire section of the program was completed, junior, Miss Lynsey Branham was crowned 2013 – 2014 Miss DHS. Lynsey is the daughter of Lynn Rowell and Steve Branham. Lynsey will receive a scholarship award in the amount of $500.00 which is payable to the college or university of her choice. Other winners including the 2013 – 2014 Court are as follows: 1st Runner Up – Miss Taylor Page, daughter of Dean and Tanya Page; 2nd Runner Up – Miss Jamesa Bethea, daughter of Maurice and Sherine Bethea. Miss Wildcat – Miss Tiffany Dwyer, daughter of Kevin and Laurie Dwyer. Miss Congeniality was awarded to Miss Lynsey Branham. The Most Talented Award was presented to Miss Taylor Cribbs, daughter of Amanda and Joe Cribbs.
