Thomas John Bailey of Nichols died Monday, October 28, 2013 at his residence. Born July 3, 1937 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Thomas Leo and Dora Mamula Bailey.
Mr. Bailey is survived by his wife, Bonita Bailey of Nichols, a daughter, Brooke (Bob) Hungesser of Sewickley, PA; his grandchildren, Max and Riley Hungesser; two sisters, Mildred (Ed) Giel of Pittsburgh, PA and Jean Hall of Vernon Hills, IL, and a sister-in-law, Gracie (Jesse) Morgan of Darlington.
The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at the home, 308 N. Nichols Street in Nichols. A celebration of Tom’s life washeld at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 30th at Margaret’s Restaurant in Mullins. It was Tom’s request that his body be donated to medical research.
The family would like to extend special thanks to his loving caregiver, Lendora Gilchrist, Florence Visiting Nurses, and Shepherd Care Hospice.
