Lake View Recreation Hosts Baseball and Softball Action

Lake View Extreme’s #18 Luke Price hits one to right and makes it safely to first.

Lake View saw more great baseball and softball action on Friday night at the recreation fields.

In the eight and under Machine Pitch baseball game, Lake View Extreme took on Lake View Central.

Colton Caulder got an inside the park home run for Lake View Extreme, and Luke Price, Kason Herlong, Cole Page, Chase Price, Lane Cardwell, Tyler James, Shaheed Dawkins, and Bradley Tart all got hits.
For Lake View Central, Storm Garris and Noah Blue each got hits.

In the 11–12-year-old softball game, Lake View’s Oven Bottom Customs hosted Jimmy B’s Angels. Tankaisia Wheeler pitched for Lake View.

Lake View’s #12 Breannan Wheeler swings.

Jimmy B’s #7 dropped one between Lake View’s second and short stop to reach base and then got caught between second and third before returning safely to second. The Angels’ #8 hit a hot grounder to Lake View’s Wheeler, who fielded and threw to first for the out to end the inning.

Lake View Recreation’s Machine Pitch teams were scheduled to play on Thursday night with Lake View Central playing Mullins at 5:30 p.m. and Lake View Extreme playing Mullins at 7:30 p.m. The teams will play again next Friday, June 7, before wrapping up their season on Friday, June 14.

Lake View’s 11–12-year-old teams were scheduled to be away at Green Sea-Floyds on Tuesday and will wrap up the season at home on Friday, June 7.
