Mildred Wethington

Services for Mildred J. Wethington will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at East Dillon Baptist Church with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home.  Visitation was held 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Wethington, 80, died Saturday, May 4, 2013 at her residence.
Born in Dillon County, SC, April 18, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Annie Jackson.  She was a member of East Dillon Baptist Church where she was a member of the Choir, WMU, and was a Sunday School Teacher.  She retired from Dillon Family Medicine as a Registered Nurse after 25 years of service, and she also worked for St. Eugene Hospital for 16 years.  She was the widow of the late Clyde Wethington.
Survivors include her children, Frank (Pat) Wethington of Dillon, Leonard (Annette) Wethington of Summerville, SC, Lawrence (Wendy) Wethington, Randy (Charlene) Grimsley, and Donnie (Diane) Grimsley, all of Dillon; grandchildren, Lauren Willis Jacob, Morgan Wethington, Logan Wethington, Corbin Wethington, Jordan Grimsley, and Bubba Grimsley; 2 great-grandchildren, Noah Willis and Taylor Grimsley; dear friend and caregiver, Lois Miller of Dillon; brothers, Frank (Maxine) Jackson of Anchorage, Alaska, Bill (Joann) Jackson of Surfside Beach, SC, and Jim (Jeanette) Jackson of Winston Salem, NC; numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Wethington was preceded in death by her brother, L. H. Jackson; and her sisters, Ruthie Hyatt, Betty Hood, and Dottie Summerford.
