Latta’s Lady Vikings shut out the Conway tigers 9-0 at home on Monday night in softball action.
Latta picked up three runs in the bottom of the first and two in the second for a 5-0 lead. The Lady Vikings added two runs each in the fourth and fifth and held off Conway for the 9-0 win.
Anna Rogers pitched all seven innings for Latta, striking out 13 and allowing only four hits and four walks. Breanna Van Deusen took the loss for Conway, pitching six innings for 13 hits, nine runs, five earned runs, four walks, and three outs.
Macy Hyatt led Latta at bat, going 3-for-4 with three RBIs. Cora Owens went 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs and Madison Owens went 3-for-4 with one RBI.
Latta improved to 4-4 for the season as they prepared to travel to Johnsonville on Wednesday night.
The Lady Vikings will be at West Florence at 6:30 p.m. on Friday and will be back home on Tuesday, March 19, to host Johnsonville.
