Dillon’s Lady Wildcats Open New Stadium With 18-0 Shut Out Over Mullins

Dillon’s #14 Darby Hamer pitched a three-inning no-hitter against Mullins on Tuesday.

Dillon’s Lady Wildcats celebrated the grand opening of their new stadium with an 18-0 three-inning win over Mullins on Tuesday night.

The Wildcats scored eight runs in the first inning and 10 in the second to end the game on the run-rule after two and a half innings.

Dillon’s Darby Hamer pitched a no-hitter, allowing just one walk with one player hit by pitch while striking out eight in three innings.

Shaquailla German went 1-for-1, getting the first home run in the new stadium and bringing in two RBI. Hamer went 1-for-3 with three RBI and Da’Kerhia Samuel went 1-for-2 with three RBI.

Dillon had a total of 10 hits in the win, while Mullins had no hits, but three errors.

The Lady Wildcats improved to 5-1 overall this season with their only loss coming from Marlboro County in the pre-season.

This Friday, the Lady Cats will be at Loris but Dillon will be back at home to host Waccamaw on Tuesday, March 19, and Aynor on Friday, March 22. Both home games start at 6:30 p.m., so make plans to attend to support our local team!

BASEBALL

In varsity baseball action, the Wildcats defeated Mullins 17-3 in five innings. The Dillon boys will also be at Loris on Friday.

In B-team baseball action, the Wildcats defeated Aynor 5-2 on Monday night. Jon-Mitchell Carter pitched six solid innings with just two walks. The B-Team will be at Latta tonight at 5:00 p.m. for a double header. Make plans to attend to support our local teams!
