The Latta Vikings earned a 66-32 win over the visiting Lake View Wild Gators on Friday night in Latta.
The Vikings took a 14-5 lead in the first and outscored Lake View 19-4 in the second and 22-10 in the third to lead 55-19 heading into the final quarter. The Gators went 13-11 in the fourth, but Latta took home the win.
Tyrell Saab and Quane’ Williams each scored 18 points to lead the Vikings in the win. Travise Kinney added 10 points, Ken’Che Page earned six, Ty’Sean Burgess added five, and Joshua McGirt scored four, with Darren Pernell adding three and Anthony McCall scoring two.
Chris Ford led Lake View with 11 points and Jamal Ford scored nine for the Wild Gators. Corenthious Brunson scored five, Christian McDaniel added four,Jeremy Moody scored two, and Ajani Thompson earned one point in the loss.
Latta is now 4-8 overall and 3-1 in Region 8A, while Lake View slips to 3-7 overall and 1-3 in the region.
Tonight, Latta will host Johnsonville at 6:00 p.m. The Flashes are 10-2 overall and lead the region 4-0 after defeating Hannah-Pamplico 85-61 on Friday.
Lake View will host Green Sea-Floyds tonight at 6:00 p.m. and will be on the road to face Hannah-Pamplico on Friday.
