Dillon’s Lady Wildcats roared back onto the basketball court on Tuesday for a 42-23 win on the road at Aynor.
The Lady Cats took a 9-2 lead in the first and outscored Aynor 15-7 in the second to lead 24-9 at the half. The Blue Jackets kept things closer in the second half, with Dillon outscoring Aynor by just two points in the third and fourth, but Aynor couldn’t overcome the first-half lead.
Brianna Lee scored a team-high eight points to lead the Wildcats and Dakerhia Samuel and Yolanda Campbell each earned six points in the win. Khamele Manning and Bonnie Fields each added five, Nakedra Page scored four, Shymya Sowells added three, and Cali McRae scored two points for Dillon.
Brooke Barfield earned a game-high 14 points for Aynor in the loss.
The Lady Wildcats improve to 7-6 overall and kick off region play with a 1-0 record in Region 8-2A.
