Waccamaw split with Class 3A’s Socastee but fell to St. James and Class A’s Johnsonville in both encounters.

The Lady Vikings should have no problems with the winless Creek Bridge Warriors tonight, and the winless Green Sea-Floyds Trojans on Friday. Next week they’ll travel to Hannah-Pamplico to take on the 2-4 Red Raiders before battling Class 2A’s Dillon in the only non-region game they’ll play in 2013.

Lake View will provide a little local rivalry, and Johnsonville may bounce back from their 2012 losing streak to be region competitors. The Lady Flashes started the season with wins over Class 2A’s Andrews and Aynor but lost seven games in a row to Class A’s Hemingway, Carvers Bay, and Class 2A’s Waccamaw.

LAKE VIEW

Lake View may find better luck against their Class A, Region 8 rivals which include the winless Latta Vikings; the 1-11 Creek Bridge Warriors; and the 3-3 Green-Sea Floyds Trojans. Lake View will host Hannah-Pamplico’s 2-4 Red Raiders on Friday.

Girls – After struggling against Class 2A opponents in the early part of the season, the Lady Wild Gators picked up their first win of the season against East Clarendon just before the holiday break. Lake View hopes to pick up momentum in 2013 as they face the 2-7 Lady Flashes tonight.

With Creek Bridge and Green Sea-Floyds winless so far in the season, Lake View will have to keep an eye on the 2-4 Hannah-Pamplico Raiders and region leader Latta for a shot at a playoff spot.
